Retelling the ending of Things Fall Apart

The thing that startled me the most is the fact Okonkwo killed himself and he ironically died the way his father did. I couldnt re-write the story because it makes since the way he died because he always talked about the way his father died as a broke failure. He made some bad decisions and end up dying the same way his father did. If i t had not been for him killing that child he wouldnt have endured all his sufferings. This whole story is one of irony and if I could re-write the ending I wouldnt.

Chapters 13-17

As far as chapters 13-17 are concerned i thought the story may have starled me a little. I didnt get why okonkwo had to move in the first place. It was an accident as to how he killed that boy, but i guess different rules for different cultures. I also think that these chapters were the climax of the story. Because okonkwo was gone for many years a lot of things changes in umuofia and he had to adjust to them. I think i know what going to happen in the end but who knows?

The Re-Tell of Sonny's Blues

Hi everyone. I am the mother of Sonny and his brother. I am going the story of how my sons split up and got back together. It all started when my eldest son was on the subway in Harlem, New York. He was reading the paper and was shocked to find out that his younger brother Sonny was busted for drug possession. I know this startled him because I am his mother and I know my children. This got my son to thinkin about how he could have prevented this. He even got a visit from one of Sonny drug friends whom my son and Sonny knew when they were growing up. It wasnt until my youngest granddaughter Gracie died that he actually tried to look for his brother. He found out that he was in a rehab clinic.

As soon as Sonny got out my oldest was there to greet him. It was a reunion for me to see my two boys back together. My eldest son stayed in the projects so that Sonny can get that feeling of home that he so desperately longed for. Even though they were reunited, there was still som unanswered questions that needed to be taken care of. Sonny needed some time to be by himself and being a drug survivor, he knew that he had another chance at life. My oldest was still confused though. With all those past memories going through is head, how couls he bot forget anything. He felt as though he didnt listen to a thing i said when I told him about his uncle and his father and how they stuck together.

In the end Sonny overcame his fears and was performingin front of people and teh darkness was gon. He was stronger and confident and the one person he needed by his side was right there; his brother. It felt good to see my two sons together again but the story is just beginning.........

Sonny's Blues

Just from reading an excerpt of the story in class it already sounds supicious. It is always fun to analyze stories to find out who these aharacters are. This is probably why this story is so highly noted in World Literature.
